The Power Platform 2024 Release Wave 2 updates are out! These release lists come out twice a year with features that will be coming to the platform. Wave 2 consists of features to be released October 2024 to March 2025. I will be doing a series of blogs to cover the top features across the Power Platform!
Today we are talking about Copilot Studio!
Copilot Studio empowers users to create custom copilots tailored to their specific needs. Whether you’re building a conversational bot for customer service, enhancing automation workflows, or improving user interactions, Copilot Studio provides a user-friendly interface for designing and fine-tuning your copilot’s behavior. You can define prompts, responses, and logic, making it easy to create intelligent conversational experiences. Additionally, Copilot Studio allows you to edit first-party copilots, adapting them to your organization’s unique requirements. The key benefits include faster development, improved user engagement, and the ability to leverage AI features like natural language understanding, context-aware responses, and image analysis. Whether you’re a maker, developer, or business user, Copilot Studio unlocks the potential of AI-driven conversations!
Add Suggested Prompts to Custom Copilots
The new feature allows makers to enhance the value proposition of their custom copilots by adding suggested prompts. These prompts will be prominently displayed at the start of each session, improving user discovery and engagement with Copilot Studio.
Get Insights into How Your Copilots are Performing
Custom Copilot makers will be able to gain insights into their copilots’ performance using analytics in Copilot Studio. Makers can monitor copilot performance, understand top user queries, assess user satisfaction, track result statuses, and ensure compliance by observing how Microsoft moderates and blocks toxic queries.
Get Responses Based on Uploaded Images
Copilots continue to get more powerful as they now will be able to analyze uploaded images, expanding their capabilities. Users can convey complex scenarios or objects without typing lengthy descriptions. Copilot gains context from visual cues, allowing it to provide more informed responses. For instance, if a user uploads an image of a car and asks about its model, Copilot will analyze the image and provide an answer. Later, if the user asks about the car’s range, Copilot will use the previous image as context. Whether it’s troubleshooting a broken printer or identifying a rare bird species, Copilot excels through image analysis
Use IVR with Omnichannel for Customer Service
This new feature in Microsoft Copilot Studio enables native voice integration for building voice-enabled bots in Omnichannel for Customer Service. By incorporating voice responses and analysis, businesses can enhance customer interactions, improve deflection rates, and boost satisfaction scores. Key capabilities include DTMF input, silence detection, barge-in control, SSML support, and enhanced speech recognition.
Conclusion
That’s all for today’s quick review of some of the new features coming in the Power Platform 2024 Release Wave 2. Remember to test these items in a Sandbox before they are rolled out to your production environment!
