The Power Platform 2024 Release Wave 2 updates are out! These release lists come out twice a year with features that will be coming to the platform. Wave 2 consists of features to be released from October 2024 to March 2025. I will be doing a series of blogs to cover the top features across the Power Platform!
Today, we are talking about Power Automate Desktop!
Monitor, Manage Your Automations and Related Assets
The new automation center in Power Platform offers comprehensive monitoring and troubleshooting for Power Automate flows. It includes top-level automation monitoring, work queue tracking, and a multi-skilled copilot for questions about Power Automate features.
Use Copilot to Analyze Desktop Flow Runs
For analyzing desktop flow runs, Copilot within the automation center provides a multi-skill experience. Users can inquire about cloud flow and desktop flow activity, work queues, and other Power Automate features. Copilot can answer questions related to desktop flow run history, such as identifying the most active flows last week, the top five flows by completed runs on a specific day, and the distribution of flow run statuses.
Note: This feature will also be available for Cloud Flows!
Use Copilot to Analyze Work Queue Data
The automation center in Power Platform integrates Copilot to enhance work queue analysis. Copilot can address queries about work queue statuses, handling times, and other related metrics. By leveraging this feature, you can optimize processing throughput, improve resiliency, and proactively prevent SLA breaches.
Use Copilot to Ask Power Automate Product Questions
Also in the automation center, Copilot will allow users to explore new possibilities and optimize workflows. You can ask Copilot questions about features like adding conditions in Power Automate desktop, handling approvals, and locating deleted flows. Boost your productivity with Copilot’s comprehensive understanding of Power Automate!
Use CyberArk Credentials in Desktop Flow Connections
The new feature allows users to utilize credentials stored in CyberArk Central Credential Provider to connect to Windows sessions in desktop flow machines. These credentials are retrieved during runtime, enhancing security and supporting password rotation without requiring connection updates.
